Duty of Care

Your Waste. Your Responsibility.

Businesses that produce, handle or transfer waste have a legal duty of care to ensure it is managed appropriately. This includes ensuring waste is only transferred to a registered waste carrier and that appropriate documentation is retained.

Using a registered Upper Tier Waste Carrier and retaining your Waste Transfer Note supports your organisation's waste-management records and demonstrates that waste was transferred responsibly.
